Who Am I? All About The Dragon i
The Dragon i is a stylish, modern, split level cottage restaurant, set in the village of Patrickswell, just a minute's drive from the Limerick Race Course, and 5 minute's from the city. It is easily accessed from the main Limerick Cork carriageway (N20).
The name is derived from the oriental fruit dragon eye, or longan, which is a white-fleshed fruit with distinct flavor and a peelable outside shell revealing the delicate tropical fruit.
Edmond Chu is the Award Winning Chef Owner. He serves up a menu of Pan-Asian Cuisines with plenty of 'eat-me' appeal, developed from thirty years background in the hospitality industry. Edmond implements a range of Pacific Rim influences to create distinctive Asian dishes for the discerning Irish palette. He uses fresh Irish meats & poultry for guaranteed 100% Customer Confidence. A definitive Chinese Cuisine with distinction.
Edmond discourages against using M.S.G. (mono-sodium glutinate). A flavour enhancer that can leave consumers feeling bloated, waking in the middle of the night with dry parched throats, minor swelling and itching. It is Not needed in Fresh Wok Cooking. The cooking is designed to offer a healthy balance.
Our waiting staff is friendly and efficient. the working ethics are based upon the team motto, 'there are no strangers here, only friends we have yet to meet'.
The restaurant is recently refurbished, with a new reception area, where friends can enjoy a drink by the fire, before moving on to the split-level dining areas for some intimate dining. There is an outside decking area is available for an after dinner drink or some banter away from the dinner table.
There is private car parking to the rear of the restaurant and a number of recommended B&B's in the local vicinity.
